NYC + Food + Photo = Awesome
- October 10th, 2011EPISODE 141 | Vision: It’s not about the food
Special Guest: Penny De Los Santos | new york city food photographer and cultural observer
Penny De Los Santos is a remarkable photographer, contributing to books, magazines and her own fascinating body of work.
What’s interesting though is how her photography transcends her genre. What I mean is she’s taking pictures of food but if you look closely, you’ll see pretty quick that she the food is really instrumental to a bigger vision she has for her creativity. It’s as though she captures culture via cuisine.
It’s that bigger game that I’m interested in exploring with her and what I think will be most meaningful to you as you’re wrestling with defining your own style photographically.
How can I develop a photo style out of the context I’m in?
